And the Winner of NZ Geographic Photographer of the Year Is...

New Zealand Geographic Photographer of the Year is an annual competition showcasing the best photographers in a range of categories.   The quality of entries are exceptional and the competition celebrates the diversity and wild places of the region.  With over 3500 entries it was great to see that several finalists and highly commended photographers had previously been on expeditions with us, including Edin Whitehead, Tony Whitehead, and Jason Hosking.

in a special ceremony in Auckland on Thursday 27 October the winners of the 2016 competition were announced.  We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all winners and finalists, and also the overall winner, Iain McGregor, who will be joining us on an expedition on Spirit of Enderby.  We know Iain will enjoy the myriad of photography opportunities and that he will capture some incredible images.  Congratulations, Iain!
