Warm hospitality on a foggy day

Once again today we are lucky enough to be enjoying smooth conditions. We awoke this morning to very calm conditions and headed along the penguin covered coastline of Macquarie Island to the isthmus at Buckles Bay, which is the home base for those based on Macquarie Island. This morning we enjoyed a walking tour around the isthmus where we climbed the boardwalk for great views of the Light Mantled Sooty Albatross Colony and the Western Side of the island before the fog rolled in. Each group was accompanied by a ranger who showed us points of interest and answered many questions by each group.
