Start of the Russian Far East Season
Yesterday marked the start of the Russian season. The Spirit of Enderby departed Kamatchatka's Avacha Bay to start Russia's Ring of Fire epic 13 day voyage. During this expedition passengers will explore the dramatic scenery of Kamachatka Peninsula and the Kuril Islands and will come across a variety of wildlife. Because of its perfect condition for seabirds and cetaceans this area is one of the richest in the world, both in terms of the number of species, which can be seen, and their sheer abundance. The first stop on this voyage will be the Commander Islands.
