Sea Time Madness

With the day all but over, there is real disappointment that only suggestive smiles were offered by the single women on board and not one proposal! Things were getting serious in the weather department today though and lectures were cancelled as the swells moved abeam driven by gusting 35kt winds, prompting discussions over the actual degree of roll since the last one. Minds were kept busy as expeditioners decided to produce a play in the tradition of all Antarctic expeditions. The 90 minute ‘show’ will take place tomorrow in the lee of Macca. After just a few days at sea many have clearly lost the plot (well actually they hope not to!) and will risk ridicule on stage. They are now studying their lines intently while others work on costumes. It is a team effort and the bar has developed into a sort of private club with a bunch of likeminded members all working on a common goal. Tomorrow night will be interesting indeed while the hours before are sure to be filled with Kings and Royals of the feathered variety. Life at sea is never dull.
