Island Life Adventures in Indonesia
Today we visited Seho Island near the town of Bobong on Taliabu Island, North Maluku. It has an incredible bay with high forested walls terming with birds, a few observed a crocodile deep in the mangroves while others Zodiac cruised into a cave full of bats on an offshore island.
For those who enjoy being above the water, but at a slower pace, kayaking was in full paddle mode with an exploration of the beautiful coastline. If underwater is your happy place, then the best coral reef and fish so far on our voyage were on offer for those who arrived at the pinky-white sand beach. Seho island appeared pristine and unlogged and certainly up to National Park standards.
In the afternoon we were hosted by virtually the entire town of Bobong with Heritage Adventurer being the only ship to have ever visited here. A show of local dance was followed by time at the fascinating local market. Everyone was entertained by the locals taking photos with us, such was the novelty of our visit.
