Icebergs & Humpback Whales

This morning we enjoyed a special welcome to Antarctica as a pod of majestic Humpback Whales surrounded Spirit of Enderby, the gentle giants taking in our measure as they went about the business of finding breakfast before parting ways with a wave of their flukes. Buoyed by the encounter and spotting our first iceberg yesterday, we spent today exploring Balleny Islands on our way to the Ross Sea and have just crossed the Antarctic Circle - an occasion we celebrated by charging our glasses in the bar.
