Grey Whales Off Point Hope
Lat: 68 North
Long: 167 West
An overcast day today, but the team was excited to see a pod of 32 Grey Whales this morning including two mothers with calves. Watching them close to the ship was a magical experience.
We have been in radio communication with the Canadian Coast Guard vessel the "Sir Wilfrid Laurier" to coordinate plans for today as they are also operating in this area.
