A Wild Farewell

Today's weather is not as kind. With winds gusting up to 35 knots, we sailed south along the east coast of Macquarie Island to Lusitania Bay - the location of the epic King Penguin breeding colony. The impressive sight, sounds and smells of thousands of penguins lining the beach (even though we can't see it for the sheer number of its jostling inhabitants) losing none of its impact from our ship. Following lunch we set our course for the Great White continent and the next chapter in our journey.
