SOE: A Fond Farewell
Over the course of the morning, we disembarked the ship to begin our journeys either home or on to our next adventure. It was a heartfelt adieu being expressed at the bottom of the gangway as luggage was pointed out and we loaded into our assigned bus.
Tania and Alexey did a sterling job shepherding us through the formalities at the airport and soon we were winging our way either to Nome or Moscow, grey clouds closing over the coast of Chukotka beneath us, its beauty and wonder now but a memory.
