Unseen Fiordland, Stewart Island and The Snares: Exploring New Zealand's Remote Backyard

“It felt like we were intrepid explorers”

“What a fabulous voyage! Such a privilege to be able to explore such pristine, remote parts of New Zealand on a fabulous “small” expedition cruise ship. We really appreciated the professionalism of the crew and the excellent catering and the very knowledgeable Heritage Expeditions staff who were always willing to share their in-depth knowledge. We enjoyed every moment… even the rougher seas! It was amazing to see the Snares in their natural wilder environment and the fantastic birdlife. It was incredible to explore the Sounds in their beauty -whether rain or shine. A real highlight was entering Milford Sound at sunrise on a beautiful crisp clear morning. It felt like we were intrepid explorers following in Captain Cook’s footsteps. Hiking on Rakiura/Stewart Island was a plus. Thank you so much for taking us with you! We have plenty of photos but not sure how to share more than one”
