“I Will NEVER, Ever Forget the Experience”

“I had been wanting to do this for many years so grabbed the chance when it arose. It was everything I hoped for and much, much more - on so many levels! Perfect weather, enjoyed by all, engagement with the flora and fauna, Standing on the top of Enderby Island as Southern Royal Albatross swept past just overhead, then 30 mins later on the boardwalk looking at tiny orchids in flower with Light-mantled Sooty Albatross in flight above. The Snares, a visual overload, from 1,000's of penguin to tiny Snares island Tomtit and Fernbird. Milford Sound in particular - totally awesome. The great Heritage Expeditions crew, helpful friendly and so much knowledge, the other guests I engaged with, some great conversations on unexpected topics at times. A warm and comfortable cabin. Birding at home is rather mundane after what I saw, only missing Snipe from my wish list. A HUGE thanks to all those people I met and shared this experience of a lifetime with, I may never return but I will NEVER ever forget the experience. If you get the chance, grab it! ”
