Galapagos of the Southern Ocean: New Zealand and Australia's Subantarctic Islands

“Like Nothing You've Ever Seen - It's a Photographer's Dream!”

“This was a wonderful trip, an excellent way to see the wildlife of these islands. The trip of a lifetime, or one to repeat. The ship was excellent, and handled well, keeping us all relatively comfortable. The trip was not without some challenges, whether it's getting in and out of the Zodiacs in 'rough seas' (the seas were never as rough as we expected from the Roaring Forties and Furious Fifties, and the weather was generally not that cold. Perhaps we were lucky. It was very windy. A bit like Shetland), or choosing what to eat from the 4-course lunch and dinner menus. In either case, the brilliant crew ensure that your experience is safe and enjoyable. Once ashore, all difficulties melt away as you commune (at a safe distance) with penguins and elephant seals, albatross and the dreaded skuas. And the extraordinary flora is like nothing you've ever seen. It's a photographer's dream.”
