“I had a fantastic time in Fiordland and being a professional photographer I was in seventh heaven. It's taken me years to save for this once in a lifetime trip and I'm still in Fiordland mode. We had 6 days of rain and saw that many waterfalls, it almost became a sick joke. "Oh look, there's another waterfall. What number is that one again? 801?" Each fiord had it's own distinctive "personality". We had one fine dawn where it was so clear after, you've guessed it, rain, we could see the lightcone from Elon Musk's Starlink satellite. Finally we entered Milford Sound, just ahead of an incoming rainstorm. The scenery was just stupendous. Then we arrived at Stirling Falls which because of the, yep, rain, was in full flood. This mega-waterfall made us eat our words regarding waterfalls. Oh, and we saw sealion pups, Dusky dolphins, albatrosses and at one place a falcon which was hunting bellbirds. The flight in was also amazing thanks to clear weather. I've got some great images which are currently being processed. And will send a printout of thumbnails for you to see if there's anything you may wish to use. We only saw two boats in the entire trip. The first was a fishing boat exiting Preservation Inlet and the second was a tour boat heading out to sea from Milford Sound. The crew were all fantastic and the 17 guests all got along great together. Ta once again for taking us to all the places very few people get to see.”
