Unseen Fiordland, Stewart Island and The Snares: Exploring New Zealand's Remote Backyard

“Boy did I have a good time!”

“I thought the ship would be far too big and luxurious for me, but boy, did I have a good time. Lots of energetic adventures, return to places I visited over 40 years ago and many new and exciting visits too. The wildlife was superb, even when the weather wasn't and the experts were so good. I was also so pleased to meet the Young Explorers. The hīkoi on Secretary Island, expertly guided by Stella and Glenda and in the company of pipipi, piwakawaka, dark morph weka and glorious tomtits, was a real highlight. We found mistletoe, nertera in berry and lantern berry (Luzuriaga parviflora). It was also good to be in the safe care of the indomitable Yuri again, when exploring the Snares. Thank you Heritage! I see the company is in excellent hands.”
