The Sun Shines at the Snares

Today, we experienced our first outing of this Antarctic expedition, with our  first zodiac cruise at the Snares. The sun was out and so were the Snares Crested Penguins. This was our first chance to see the wildlife of the Subantarctic Islands and the penguins put on a great show. We were able to go through little caves and into coves on the zodiacs, getting close up views of the penguin colonies. We also saw some sleepy fur seals, albatross, and plenty of Cape Petrels floating in the water. Guest Blogger Sherry Ott
