Sea Otter Search Begins
We sailed last night from Korsakov for Kunashir Island in near perfect weather and sea conditions.
Today there is a slight sea and wind from the N-NE as we cross the La Perouse Strait.
This evening we will arrive at the village of Yuzhno-Kurilsk where we will pick up two Russian researchers who will help us search for Sea Otters in the small Kuril chain of islands.
Our midday position was 44 36N,146 28E and current speed is 12.8 Kts.
