Science Farewell

Position: Nome, USA
Weather: Wet and windy

Dinner Approaching Nome

Last night the science team celebrated the succesful completion of their voyage and all participants were presented with official RUSALCA certificates. After the formal toasts the group celebrated into the night.

This morning we arrived in Nome at 0830 hrs but due to low water levels we weren't able to go alongside, which caused some stress to those who planned to fly out this evening. Eventually we were permitted to enter the harbour and everyone disembarked on schedule.

Tonight we will head back towards Vladivostok where the crew is looking forward to being reunited with their families.
