Russia's Ring of Fire Begins - Kunashir Island
After a bit of a rough first night on the ocean, we awoke to calm seas for our first full day onboard Spirit of Enderby. Blue skies greeted us as we enjoyed our first landing of the expedition on Kurilsky Zapovednik – Kunashir Island. It was great to stretch the legs and explore the island with a variety of walks on offer. In the afternoon we explored a new island – with amazing views of Spectacled Guillemots, the first encounter for many of us.
