Rennell

We arrived just offshore of Lavangu village on Rennell Island in the early hours this morning. The weather was hot and humid, and after clearing customs just after first light, we made the short transfer to the island where everyone split into groups to go off in search of the island's endemic species. Everyone congregated back in the village a few hours later to compare notes and re-hydrate thanks to some fresh coconuts supplied by the villagers.

Rennel

After refreshments most took the opportunity to swim and snorkel offshore until it was time to Zodiac back to the ship. After lunch we departed for our next island stop, Makira.
