A relaxing day at sea

Day 9: Thursday April 14

As we steamed northwards, leaving New Caledonia behind us, we headed into deep tropical waters. The sun was shining brightly and the sail shade provided by the crew on the top deck was a very welcome addition. A relaxing, easy day with few birds about and the odd flying fish and flying squid dashing away from the bow of the boat. Martin gave a talk on the World’s tropical rainforest, which generated a lot of interest.
