Preobrazheniya Bay
This morning expedition staff gave an insightful presentation on Beringia National Park. Just after lunch views of the cliffs around the bay came into view and with a mild temperature and relatively clear skies we prepared for our first outing in the zodiacs. Preobrazheniya Bay is relatively remote and a bird breeding haven; guillemots, puffins, gulls and auklets filled the skies around us as we nimbly made our way around the coves and bays in a moderate sea. The towering rock stacks made for impressive landscape photography. We are now currently enroute for Yttygran and the intriguing archaeological site of Whale Bone Alley where we will spend the morning.
