Pre Christmas Departure From Bluff

On a sunny Southland afternoon, The Spirit of Enderby, carrying 49 excited expeditioners from a range of countries including New Zealand, Australia, China, the Netherlands and the United States, departed Bluff at 5pm to start our Galapagos of the Southern Ocean expedition.

As Expedition Leader Alex and Cruise Director Jessie introduced us to the Spirit of Enderby, our home for the next eleven nights, there was a definite sense of anticipation in the air.

Our first dinner on board gave us the chance to get to know one another, before most travellers retired early at the end of a big day to prepare for our early morning tomorrow.
