Polar Plunge

We crossed 60 degrees South at 0145hrs last night and 18 brave souls leapt into the cold water to sample the Southern Ocean temperature. The sighting of our first iceberg 18nm off to starboard at 0730hrs, 61'09'8 S / 167'12'0 E, caused great excitement and everyone was up on deck as we cruised past it. We are now experiencing flat calm seas and moving at 12.5kts with just 240nm to run to the Antarctic Circle.
