Photographers Paradise

From 24 July the Spirit of Enderby has been under charter to a wildlife photography company who brought 50 keen photographers from all around the globe to explore some of the most remote areas of the Russian Far East including Wrangel Island.

Walrus

Our team has been working hard to get them into the best positions to capture images of this unique region. Overall the expedition has been very successful, albeit a bit different from our usual Heritage Expeditions voyage. Our long hours spent out on deck and playing around in the ice have been well rewarded with some amazing wildlife encounters and many stunning photographs. We have spent as much time as possible around Wrangel Island and in the pack ice to the south. Blessed with great weather and calm seas we made three great landings on the island and took many Zodaic crusies to view Polar Bears and walrus on the ice.
