Enderby Christmas Eve

We dropped anchor at Sandy Bay shortly after 6am and went ashore to enjoy Enderby Island and its wildlife. It is always a pleasure to wander in this 'garden of Eden'. The wildflowers are spectacular and the New Zealand Sea Lions in good numbers on the beach. Our group enjoyed front row seats on the grass overlooking the colony. In the late afternoon the weather deteriorated and everybody came off the island as the heavy rain came in, but in no way did it dampen the enthusiasm for this special place.
