Dynamic Seas
Just getting to Macca is often part of the fun and so it is for us, with a confused head sea and 30-35kt winds right on the nose. Our speed is back to just 8.5kts. The good news is that conditions are due to moderate ‘eventually’. It is way too dynamic to hold lectures so our time is being spent in the library and on the bridge enjoying the things that only the Southern Ocean can deliver. This is one of the last great wilderness areas on earth and just the start of our journey into the deep south. The food is good and the company fun. None are complaining as we all know there are good times ahead. This is the Furious Fifties and home of the great Wandering Albatross and the little Wilsons Storm Petrels. Nobody on board can say they are not experiencing the best of it.
