Crossing the Antarctic Convergence Zone
Another calm weather day meant we were making good progress towards Cape Adare. As the ship followed the route of many past explorers, ship historian Steven kicked off his much-anticipated Explorer History lectures today. The staff passed out the Antarctica jackets to expeditioners, just as we crossed over the foggy Antarctic convergence. Temperatures dropped as we entered the cooler sea waters of the Southern Ocean. It was a perfect night for a warm roast cooked up by Chef Ed and Chef Max!
