Crossing of the Antarctic Circle at 66º34
It was an auspicious and jovial occasion today as we crossed over the Antarctic Circle at 66º34! We marked the occasion with a morning celebration and an acknowledgment of its importance with a vow to uphold the Antarctic and its wildlife. Time flew today as we passed through a number of large icebergs, humpback sightings, lectures, bio checks, and even did some gear shopping. The excitement is growing as we only have one more day to go to reach Cape Adare!
