A Toast to Crossing the Antarctic Circle

Feb 1st – As we were leaving Buckle Island, Lyle spotted a pod of Orcas in the distance. Everyone rushed outside braving the cold as we slowed down to get a closer and longer look at the Orcas and their young. We cruised up Young Island to get incredible views of the sheer cliffs and enjoyed the iceberg formations that had drifted off the island. After lunch we bid farewell to the Balleny Islands and set course to Campbell Islands, a 3 to 4 day journey. We celebrated our crossing back over the Antarctic Circle at dinner with a toast and another amazing meal by Chefs Ed and Max.
