South to the Antarctic Again

Our second Ross Sea expedition for the year set sail from the Port of Bluff yesterday in perfect weather. There is a truly international group on board and they have settled in well, with very little sea sickness as conditions are so comfortable. We made a record run to the Snares Islands and this morning enjoyed a Zodiac cruise along the rocky coastline to get a closer look at the local wildlife. When we departed for the Auckland Islands we sailed close to the Western Chain, a group of islands to the west of the main Snares Island.
