Snares Snared

The weather was fine but heavy sea swells made Zodiac cruising marginal as we lay off the Snares this morning. However a window presented itself and 5 craft loaded with excited expeditioners headed for the shoreline. Our hopes were rewarded in Hoho Bay with many close sightings of Snares Crested Penguins, Fernbirds, Tomtits, New Zealand Fur Seals and Sea Lions. A great first excursion off the ship for this group.
