Science Study

We are currently working with a team of scientists who have transformed the ship into a floating laboratory.

During the night we encounted a violent storm which took its toll on the interior of the ship with items flung about and broken, and passengers finding sleep difficult as we rode the swell south of Uelen. At 4am we arrived at the location where we were due to recover the first mooring. Despite the rough conditions a Zodiac was launched to recover what was thought to be the mooring but turned out to be a dead walrus!

Retrieving the personnel and the Zodiac proved difficult in such challenging conditions but they were eventually safely back on board and rewarded with hot showers, a hearty breakfast and retrieval of the mooring later in the day.
