Sailing from PKC

In the early hours of this morning we raised the Spirit of Enderby’s anchor in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy and headed out into Avacha Bay towards the open ocean, setting a course for Madang, PNG, where we are due to arrive on 10 October. The regular maintenance is complete, we are fully loaded with supplies and have an enthusiastic new crew aboard. The expedition team and hotel department members will join us just before we welcome our first passengers for the 2015/16 southern season to explore Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands on the Melanesia Discoverer expedition.
