At Work

The team seized a brief moment of sunshine yesterday to deploy CTDs, collect sediment samples and small fish from the seabed, but in the evening the weather came in again. Conditions have again frustrated their efforts to study plankton and creatures living on the ocean floor, so the team decided to head 100 miles north to the next station. We are now making 5 knots through rolling seas which the chefs are finding quite a challenge.
