Macca Reunion
The birders had a field day at sea, especially as we crossed into Australian waters for a few twitchers keen to build their Ozze lists. Macquarie Island appeared out of the mist as everyone enjoyed dinner. As we had the Australian Antarctic Division Station Leader’s wife on-board (who had not seen him since March), a Zodiac was dispatched to collect him for a reunion aboard ship in case the forecast NE swell and associated heavy surf on the beach made landing at Buckles Bay impossible tomorrow.
