Long Sea Voyage
The Heard Island Expedition departed Fremantle in Western Australia over a week ago now. There hasn’t been a lot to report apart from the fact that we had a good run for the first 5 days and are now experiencing our first real westerly storm which is testing even the most hardy sailors in the group. We plan to shelter in the lee of French administered Amersterdam Island until the worst of the weather passes.
