Farewell Icy Continent

Last Iceberg

Today this expedition bid farewell to Antarctica. We had hoped to make a landing at Cape Adare this morning, but woke to a strong to gale force southerly wind and big seas, dashing any chance of this. It is a very different place to when we were here just over a week ago! We have now set a course for Campbell Island and with following seas hope to enjoy a few relaxing days of lectures and sleep.
