Equator Days

Today we took in a range of sights and provided activities to suit everyone. Trekking, snorkelling, kayaking, bird-watching and relaxing on the beach were all on offer. As we are now very close to the equator the temperatures soared, but mercifully cooled off after some afternoon rain. A highlight for the snorkellers was seeing giant clams; for the birders it was spotting the endemic Mussau Monarch. Kayakers loved being close to turtles and the trekkers were rewarded with a refreshing dip in a cool pool after their walk through the rainforest.
