Current Expedition Enroute to Wrangel Island

We are underway again! Our 'Wrangel Island: Across the Top of the World' expedition into the Russian Arctic and to Wrangel Island departed Anadyr on 1 August and is currently enroute North.

Wrangel Island is a very special nature reserve and landings are under permit only with rangers who assist with guiding.  The arctic tundra landscape provides a unqiue environment for flora and fauna, many of which are seen nowhere else in the world.  It comes with no surprise then that our expeditioners have their camera batteries charged and are excited about the upcoming opportunities to sight polar bears, walrus, muskox, arctic foxes amongst other wildlife.
