Blue Skies in Mal'minskiy
Another amazing day of blue skies and sunshine, this time in the region of Mal'minskiy.
After a Zodiac cruise and a great landing for a closer view of the wildlife everyone returned to the ship for a late lunch and we cruised south around the pack ice observing all four species of ice seals within about 5 minutes which created great excitement amongst the group. We saw Ribbon, Ringed, Largha and Bearded seals and decided to drink cocktails on the front deck in celebration.
Later in the evening we took another Zodiac cruise and saw this beautiful Steller's Sea Eagle which made an impressive sight against the expansive backdrop of icy sea.
