Below the Surface

It was another fun filled day for the expeditioners. We anchored in Kavieng Harbour, New Ireland, and from there visited the Nusa Island Retreat where we were treated to a great sing-sing. We were also able to explore Nusalomon and Kavieng town, which are very close by. The water was the place to be in the afternoon and a large group of us went kayaking, swimming and snorkelling in the warm, clear waters off an uninhabited island close to the ship. The bird-watchers also had a very successful day, clocking up an impressive number of species.
